Beads
The Zulu people in Kwazulu/Natal are very well known
for their colorful beadwork.
The traditional beadwork has a long history;
the Zulu used to intergrate social values into their
art craft.
Nowadays you can buy decorative beadwork
on almost every streetcorner and it has not much
to do with the old traditional values or symbolism. It's often
all the same and it has become very commercialized in order
to supply tourist demand for souvenirs.
There is a lot beadwork around that I don't like at all,
but there is one little animal that did steal my heart;
this sheep!
